Saturday Interest Programs
(Jan.-Jun. 2026)

The Ottawa Catholic School Board (OCSB) offers International & Indigenous Languages Elementary (IILE) Programs (JK - Grade 8) on Saturdays. Registration is free for Ontario residents. Chinese (Mandarin) is one of the most popular programs in Kanata. As part of the OCSB's effort to enhance the IILE program, some interest programs are offered by KC Afterschool immediately after the morning IILE classes. It provides children opportunities to explore their other talents. Most of the Interest Programs are instructed in Chinese to further enhance students' Chinese language skills while participating in those programs.

Parents and children may also participate in some fitness activities when there is language school on-site.

Location: All Saints H.S., 5115 Kanata Ave., Kanata, ON, K2K 3K5 (map)

Programs:

Morning Language Programs: For language options and other details see OCSB website.
Interest Programs: Children's Classes: Chess, Calligraphy, Drawing, Go, Math.
Fitness Activities (adults/children): Badminton, Ping-pong, Tai-chi.

Time:

Morning Language Programs: 09:30-12:00, Saturdays, Sept. 6, 2025 - Jun. 13, 2026.
Interest Programs: By term. Current term (Jan.-Jun. 2026): 13 sessions each program,
1 hour/session, Saturdays when there is on-site International
Languages School. Schedules vary. See registration form below.

Fees: Morning Language Programs: Free for Ontario residents (only $20/year consumable fee).

Interest Programs: Children's Classes: $115; Fitness Activities (adults/children): $60.

                   (2) Fill out and email form (PDF) to: registration@kcafterschool.com
                   (3) e-Transfer fees to: registration@kcafterschool.com
                   (4) Send security answer of e-Transfer by text to: 613-263-7846
                   Please provide participant's name in notes/texts of (3) & (4) above.

    Space is limited. If you are registering online, after receiving your form, e-Transfer and security answer, we'll process your registration in priority sequence ASAP. Priority will be given to on-site registrations if your online registration has not been confirmed by then.
